I talked for an hour with .mil and intel. None of this is classified. It was said an op to totally take over Iran is already game planned and ready and can’t be used. That’s actually easier than what is needed right now and included boots.
Now, they must hit more isolated moving targets currently located amongst the population, not on bases, which is times more challenging. Plus, in this instance, you don’t want to simply cripple all economic and production capability for life after the mullahs. There are also, unknown to most, about 20 or so competing factions among the rebel components elbowing to be the big dog after action. So the inbound op has to be spectacularly precise, hitting the shooters, but not hitting the good guys who the shooters are now shielding themselves with, and the administration has to quickly back a legit big dog to avoid further chaos. Plus, there are neighbors wanting a piece of the leftovers as well.
A: If the head asshole bolts, that will be good.
Or B: The US and Israel have some pager like precision op to develop an end to this mess.
If A or B isn’t an outcome, like yesterday, this is going to be seen as some serious red line dancing crap with thousands more killed as a result.
