One Big Beautiful Bill? Too Big. Not So Beautiful.

So the big beautiful bill cuts spending 1.3%?? IMO, we’ve lost an opportunity to save the republic. I like what Senator Ron Johnson said, go back to 2019, and find the 2.5T a year increase. DOGE saved 150B. Then Congress increased DOD spending 125B.

2019 budget. 4.4 trillion. Deficit 984 billion.

2020 budget. 6.5 trillion. Deficit 3.1 trillion. Covid year.

2021 budget. 6.8 trillion. Deficit 2.8 trillion. Covid year.

2022 budget. 6.3 trillion. Deficit 1.4 trillion.

2023 budget. 6.2 trillion. Deficit 1.7 trillion.

2024 budget. 6.8 trillion. Deficit 1.8 trillion.

This Big Beautiful bill out ten years is 79 trillion (est). Adding almost 20 trillion (est) to the deficit. Congress needs to do their job. If the dems shut down the government? Fine. Then hang them with their own rope. We need a balanced budget law. Anyone who has run a business knows this can’t go on.

This is some very expensive music. The spending is irresponsible. The lack of Republican backbone is disappointing and dangerous.

Oh. Don’t worry. We’ll get to it. No. Now is that time. Tomorrow is broke. We need to pull the plug on this warn out jukebox. The music is no longer acceptable. Our grandchildren are screaming from the future, “Why are you doing this to us?”
