Part of what I do is try and read between the lines. This White House dustup. Could it be intended posturing by President Trump and Zelensky? Hear me out. Keep in mind that this is pure speculation.
One of President Trump’s goals in the midst of negotiations to end the war in Ukraine is to facilitate Russia’s rejoining the “family” of peaceful nations. Why? Peace. That is why. Peace.
This confrontation has handed the Russians a tremendous opportunity to be, of all things, the peace maker. This is a big, huge if. If the Russians take this situation to step forward like the adult in the room, and say, “Hey. Everyone. Big deep дыхание (breath), please. Let us make a deal.”
This gives Putin huge face should the Russians choose to take advantage of this available posture.
Keep in mind. The left in the U.S., the war mongers here and in Europe, the killing profiteers, and every word uttered by the bulk of our press has been, Putin is Hitler. The same exact music they played during the presidential election in reference to President Trump and all of his supporters. It failed then. Just maybe this gambit might reset that branding effort somewhat very forcefully for Putin and President Trump.
Am I sure of this? Absolutely not. Would this surprise me? Absolutely not. Do I think this would be a good thing? Absolutely.
In the long run, this could be a life-saving, world war preventing symphony. I guess we will see soon enough if this is the dance music we are witnessing.
