Virginia Election Disaster Summary. Reality Check. It’s Worse Than You Think. 1.12.2026

The 2025 Virginia Governor’s race and statewide elections were a study in election messaging, party cohesion, and voter response to disassociated influences. In short, as usual, voter turnout carried the day.

One:
Sears ran a terrible campaign. She came on in the last month or so, but it was too late. Her message was trapped in the past. Sounded surface and scripted. Not the same fire or compelling messaging as four years earlier. The following picture is linked to an article I wrote on the subject of Sears’ image.

Two:
Reid’s homosexual lifestyle was a fire hose on the Christian conservative base. Denying that reality doesn’t make it less real. It was the perfect demo of the boiled frog the state Republican leadership had become. Hey, if we put up a candidate that checks a few liberal “we get it” check boxes, some of them will like us? Hardly. What it really did was detonate the needed enthusiasm that was going to be necessary to get SW Virginia to turn out in mass. Look at the numbers. Conservatives stayed home in record numbers. Their thinking? Better to not vote than jump in with the rest of the boiled frogs. The lessor of two evils argument had a way lot “lessor” with Reid on the roster. You will also notice that Sears and Miyares would never, as in never, mention Reid’s name or appear with him on campaign appearances. So when you are gearing up to attack this assessment think about how far you have come taking the left wing line denigrating the defense of “marriage”, the defense of “women”, the protection of the aggressive trans ideology, men in female sports, on and on and on. And you’ll be like, that’s not me!! It is completely you.
You absolutely thought you had to start compromising to keep likes, keep friends, get votes, not offend people, keep your job…etc, etc, etc. What did you do? You cut the chord of decency and opened the floodgates to woke taking the guts of a party down. You may have cracked the door open to show you are inclusive, and the left waltzed in and kicked your ass. The following picture is linked to an article where I addressed this issue months before the election.

Three:
The national Republican Party was operating on petty grievances. It started with Steve Bannon, whom I largely support, but not this time. In the 2023 Virginia state elections it looked like Republicans would take both legislative houses. At the same time Youngkin was testing messaging surrounding a run for the Republican presidential candidacy. He was a serious enough threat the Godfather of the MAGA movement, Bannon, decided that a Republican victory in Virginia would compel more support nationally for a Youngkin campaign. Being a Trump at all cost supporter Bannon told MAGA in Virginia to do what? Stay home. Which they did. Republicans got hosed.
In similar fashion, Sears had committed the cardinal sin of not supporting Trump immediately for the ’24 nomination. She went on their list. Their support during the ’25 statewide elections? Non-existant. Silence. Trump endorsed Sears in the last week of the election. Whoopie do. He had endorsed Miyares earlier and never mentioned Reid. You can’t have a national political party with that level of tactical incompetence and expect to win important, supportive, local elections.

Four:
The great Spamburger/Sears debate.

It was a disaster for Sears. How can you say that? Spamburger just stood there, not answering questions… Questions inappropriately, obnoxiously, thrown at her through constant interruptions by Sears.

The Republican messaging experts did their job. They face-lifted Spamburger not answering questions and declared that to be a Sears victory. Anyone who watched the whole debate saw the truth. Sears came across as a deranged lunatic. Interrupting Spamburger 40+ times gave her the look of pathetic, powerless, desperation. Her campaign messaging only carried the choir on that one. It lost almost everyone in the pews. It certainly sprayed cold water on them.

Five:
DOGE and “hate Trump” can not be given enough credit. I’m actually an expert on emotional, messaging manipulation. This isn’t a news bulletin. There is 100% a TDS emotional energy deployment on purpose, all day, every day by the DNC Media and democrats everywhere. It is their strategy. Undeniably and unfortunately, Trump gives them plenty of talking point ammo. Some things he thinks are funny or cute are easily edited/interpreted for left-wing productions as hate fuel. DOGE was a very quick fit into that slipstream. They were made fun of. They were easy targets for the finely cued up, don’t you dare touch our big government honey pot bullion, recipients. They were also able to nose ring federal employees into the fold at break-neck speed. Money? Take our money? Oh, hell no. The left will give billions to protect a trillion or two of government waste that always “circled back” to their coffers. They were easily able to firewall the messaging. Any thought to the rest of the Spamburger socialist disaster about to swamp what was left of common sense in Virginia was overlooked. The fine print for the I hate vote? The end of any Republican say so in Virginia legislation for quite a while.

Summary:

With the Spamburger takeover, Virginia faces a Minnesota California size disaster coming fast and it’s already taking shape. The left’s redistricting in Virginia could leave Republicans with one congressional seat. One. Abortion on demand until the day of birth. Men in women’s private and public everything. 2A guarantees legislated into non-existence.

So, okay. You whine pretty good Hamilton. What can be done.

Stand your ground. There are plenty of conservative voters in Virginia. Give them something to vote for. They aren’t going to vote for more forms of political Jello. Win the ’26 Senate election against Warner. Is he vulnerable? Good grief. I have rarely seen a more easily beaten incumbent. If anyone reading this wants help with their campaign to defeat Warner, let me know. He is pathetic.

In closing, the bigger picture is who will lead us? Who would be able to stand up, stand strong and clear, inspire conservative confidence again and take it like an elbow to the jaw of disastrous left wing ideology? The key election is the ’26 Senate seat. Nick Freitas, maybe? He needs some image control, but I think he has great potential. However, we want a senate candidate, not a comedian. Karen Hamilton (no relation) has a look of future higher office, but I think it’s too early for a US Senate run.

I hope this summary helps show what really happened in Virginia. At the very least, I hope it gives a better framework for the factors conservatives face if they think they are going to ever see power again in Virginia. They’re in for a bigger fight than they think. The entire DC sewer wants big government socialism in Virginia.

Pray up. Gear up.
